Many people take wedding portraitson their wedding day, not before: 很多人不會事先拍婚紗照，而是在婚禮當天拍

美國人不接新娘，也不鬧洞房

美國人不會請專職司儀，他們喜歡認識、熟悉新人的人主持。通常這個工作就落在伴郎團里口才好的那位身上。

結婚蛋糕留一年
美國還有個傳統，就是把wedding cake(結婚蛋糕）留一小片，凍起來。新人留到結婚一周年吃。

They'll tell the guests where they're registered: 他們會告訴客人自己在什么地方注冊了禮品單
Guests buy things from the list: 客人可以選擇想買清單上的什么東西送給新人
